Laser-driven radiating Kevin-Helmholtz instability modeled with the MARBL code developed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), https://www.llnl.gov. The simulation uses the high-order finite element, multi-material, closure model, radiation-hydrodynamics and TMOP nonlinear mesh optimization capabilities of the BLAST ALE package in MARBL. Shown is the material density field, which exhibits multiple radiative driven shock wave interactions. For more details, see the description on the BLAST website, https://computation.llnl.gov/projects..., as well as the Laghos mini-app of ECP’s CEED co-design center, https://github.com/CEED/Laghos.
