My take on the whole real vs rep debate. This is just my personal opinion on the matter. What do you think? Tell me in the comments below, not in the description like i said in the video, because im a moron.

- Bobandy: obviously, but my point was he fucking drifted full seasons with xxrs and fucking pilled them into walls and they still held up. so saying you cant use them for racing or drifting is just plain stupid. the argument isn't which is a better wheel, no shit you will get better quality wheel with reputable brands its just him letting us know not every replica wheel is trash and you can still buy "replica" wheels, in this case xxrs, and still beat on them.
- Shane Whalley: Clayton Funke I understand where you're coming from. The issue is, there are almost no original style wheels left to make. Even some $4000 wheels are designed in the same style as other wheels made decades before them. There's a difference between a replica and a straight up counterfeit wheel.
- Iseenoobpeoples: This is just not true, real wheels keep their structural integrity while reps wheels collapse/shatter, you can find multiple evidence of this around the web a simple google image search will reveal the truth.

As far as xxr go ive seen many people smack curbs with xxr while drifting in mexico and not do anything but hurt the paint on them

- xdejablu3x: I've heard this wheel debate go on for many years now and even though I daily drive I ended up with Rotas. I've driven them for over 4 years and even cross country them from NC to TX multiple times with no issues. Now I did crack one because I ran over road debris (broken shelf) in the middle of the highway doing 65mph but was repairable. There's nothing wrong with rep wheels. If you got money for higher end wheels then go for it. Funny, how "most" people who bash on replica wheels don't even race their cars or even push them hard enough to utilize them. Hell, most of the time they buy the expensive brands and slam the car not utilizing them for what they were intended for.

- lucas唐路: What about saftey? people I know who work in the industry see many rep wheels crack and/or shatter and also some dodgy factory wheel like Audi's. is safety not more important? also if you cannot afford new good quality wheels you can afford 2nd hand quality Jap/German wheels easily.

- Clayton Funke: Its not a price vs price issue. Its a moral issue. I dont support those who steal designs. Any CAD tech can design a fresh new face design, and actually it takes longer to 'replicate' one. So these cheap brands go out of their way to eat into anothers market by copying. Cheap brands should just make 100 percent OG designs and then no one can shit on them for 'fakin the funk' and sales would go up for sure. They want the competitors market through stealing, not through innovation.

- D Carden: No problem with "fake wheels" if you going to race your car in any way. Don't damage the good shit. My show car has custom 10k weld racing wheels on it my daily has very fake vossen wheels® I Paid $300 a set for 18 inch wheels. And I autocross and road race them I get more compliments on my "fake" wheels then my high dollar wheels.
