In this video, we demonstrate how to use your Mevo camera and iOS App to live edit. Live editing allows your viewers to see a virtual multi camera experience. The top right window is your live shot window; you can tap and drag to move it. You can set the Mevo app to automatically find people and live edit on its own in the “Camera Assistant” menu. With the “Find People” selection, the app will automatically identify faces and set auto-trackers. In Autopilot mode, the camera will reference these trackers and cut as your subjects move and talk. To manually direct your live event, turn off Autopilot. Learn how to manually use trackers, cut to different shots, zoom and pan.

- Mevo Camera: Thanks! 1 -- only if your PC screen is in view, but you can't connect it directly to the stream. 2 -- no you cannot connect another SLR camera without using a pro level production switcher. Check out Livestream studio software we may for that purpose. http://livestream.com/studio
- Dan Woods: We are starting to use Mevo with our Sunday Morning service to Livestream to those you can not attend and want to be still connected. I am starting to figure out that just using one of these cameras is pretty hard when you are trying to "chase the rabbit" (aka. Pastor) while he gets into the message. I could keep it in the wide mode the whole service, but why do that with a camera that is capable of doing so much more? I positioned the camera around 14 feet back from the pulpit. This gives the pastor roughly 30-40 feet FOV. I understand about the two fingered Live pan. BUT, this is a Pentecostal church, understand? The pastor is not one to hide behind the pulpit. Some days it's like trying to follow the puck at a hockey game. OK, I have two issues that I noticed on our maiden voyage with the Mevo: 1) The can lighting system that lights up the stage make the skin tone too washed out. I attempted a video the night before with the can lights off, and it looked decent. How can I correct this? I'm not stupid, I know you could answer just turn them off. Well, I'm not sure if the Lighting tech needs those on for a reason or not. Keep in mind that I know the Media and now this Livestream system. I have yet to conquer the lighting and audio systems. What can I tell the Lighting tech to help me out? I messed with all the settings in Mevo and leaving them in auto or default looked the best it was going to look. 2) The audio, I was shocked at how clean the mic of the Mevo was just by itself. Now, have that same mic pick up an external mic tied into a PA system, that's where it doesn't sound the best. I know I can tie into the mixing board, but I am not quite sure how. I read that the iRig 2 works well with the Mevo. Upon further research, does the iRig HD 2 cooperate with the Mevo as well? Any help on these issues or any sample videos of my similar situation would be beneficial. Apologize for the lengthy comment, applaud you on a well thought out product, and looking forward to hearing any comments, or advice you might have.
- Jim Wilson: When live editing, is there a way to disable the "Wide" shot when in Auto-Pilot? There are many situations where I'd like the camera to choose from the shots I've preset and not ever go to the "Wide" shot.

- Mevo Camera: Thanks for the comment! We recommend trying out the Live editing feature "Live Follow" to automatically capture the pastor as he moves around the stage. Just make sure to also set Find Faces for this to work. For the lighting issue you mentioned, go into Advanced Settings and play around with the white balance, EV exposure and brightness settings. You can probably self correct this. Finally for external audio, you can use an iRig2. More info on how to use external audio can be found here -- https://help.getmevo.com/hc/en-us/articles/223737247-Using-an-External-Audio-Source-With-Mevo Finally- our customer support team can help you through your challenges with 1x1 phone support. They are open 7 days a week 9:30am to 5:30pm ET. Give them a call at 1 (844) 563-MEVO Thanks!
- Passionoverdose: has anybody try it in a dark bar venue with stage, I shoot a lot of videography in really dark venues I was wondering how would perform ? any samples ?
- coffeyvideoproductions: I wish they'd make the mevo app a post production plugin for fcpx or premier.
- Joel Almemdarez: Look Out Below
- Livefeed Network: Hello please can you integrate your camera with sling studio cameralink?
- Tamara Gabriel: Does Mevo only work with iOS devices, or can I use it with Android devices? If not available for Android, do you have any plans to make it so?
- Alex Anderson: Great tutorial. Thank you! Can you advise though: 1) using Mevo, can I stream LIVE to Facebook showing me and my PC screen at times? 2) possible to connect another SLR camera to capture a side/top angle? Thanks.
- Brandon Nintendo: God isn’t real. You’re spreading old lies for profit. You’re a terrible person.
- Shawn Z Savage: Mevo by Livestream how do you make the cuts slower when you are changing your shots??
- sabotage: Virtual multicam experience is awesome but can i have Real multicam experience with Mevo"S"? (For multiroom live)
- Shawn Z Savage: Brandon Nintendo God is real whether you believe it or not.
- Ougland Media: This looks amazing. But the image quality is not good enough to use it for anything, in my opinion. If I had this editing possibility for my Sony a6500 I would be in heaven :)
- Mevo Camera: You'd need Livestream Studio software to accomplish this. More info here - https://livestream.com/studio
- Mevo Camera: Android is currently in development. Give our page a follow and we'll announce when Android is ready.
- Go Fast Races: do there have to be faces recognized in the video for the camera to follow close ups? i ask because I'm wanting to live stream my sporting event but theres A LOT of movement happening over a fairly large area. If you look at my videos on my channel, thats a prime example of the speed and movement involved. lmk thanks
- Mevo Camera: You'll need some lighting to make the view work, but with some adjustments with exposure and white balance, and some extra lighting, you could make this setup work.
- Inventor, Writer, Ace Editor, Photo Videographer: I bet my Eye Shooter Smartphone Holder would work well with that. www.eyeshooter.com
- Jim Wilson: I've really enjoyed the camera.
- Dawn Howes: Great video. been looking everywhere for this advice. QUESTION: I want to 'pinch' my Close Up Shot so it's smaller/closer....I'd rather keep the subjects sitting where they are and make the CU shot tighter..seems it's limited to how close I can get. For example at 1:10 on this video I'd want a CLOSER close shot of that subject. can this be done?
- Longmont Observer: Your 'detailed support link' above is broken.
- ZERO SPIN FILM - PRODUCTION: Take my money baby
- Mevo Camera: We'll submit this feature request to our engineers. Thanks!
- RESET1776: REALLY disappointing! Yes, it's a cool little camera with some neat features. But you become disappointed when you start using it & realize they are holding the true ability of the camera hostage. What else can you call it when you go for an editing feature & your directed to a subscription service? Then to seal the deal they made a camera that CANT be used with a computer in real time. Basically it's an online wireless surveillance camera unless your willing to pay monthly fees.
