- turbotoaster1984: My opinion is the manual setup is a better option over the electronic valve. You never have to worry about solenoid failure or wiring issue making it simpler. Also if you put the T piece straight as it leaves the block and your oil pump sucks up air the accusump automatically adds oil into the line on its way to the oil cooler so that the oil supply to the engine isn't interrupted.....if your waiting for a drop in oil pressure entering the engine to tell you there's a problem, it can potentially be a bit late by then.....I have mine plumbed manually
- strikeforce4: So basically it's a oil reserve that if on a manual valve it'll operate by the pressure changes in the motor. Where on an electronic valve it opens by a sensor like the low oil senser on an LS.

- AZ986S Bruce: Yes, agreed that for track use only, manual does not have the time lag associated with the pressure switch/solenoid valve setup. The sol valve setup allows for a much easier pre-oiling though. On my street/track car, I have the PS/Sol valve setup but I've wired it so I can bypass the Pressure Switch and basically have the valve open all the time when on the track. See my videos on this.
