BREAKING NEWS - CHINA'S MILITARY VOWED TO BEEF UP AIR/SEA PATROL IN SOUTH CHINA SEA
On Monday, China’s military vowed to beef up air, and sea patrols in the South China Sea. The move came after U.S warship, guided-missile destroyer USS Stethem sailed within 12 nautical miles of the Triton islands, a small isle in the Paracel Islands chain claimed, and controlled by China.
China’s Defense Ministry, said the United States has “seriously damaged strategic mutual trust” between the two countries by entering what it claimed were China’s territorial waters, while the country’s Foreign Ministry accused the United States of staging a “serious political and military provocation.”
The South China Sea’s tension could rise again, after President Trump said that China failed to pressure North Korea to stop its nuclear ballistic missiles, which could reaches U.S. mainland.
